WYWA has established four active high school chapters across San Francisco, each led by a student executive board at its respective school. Throughout the school year, chapters host writing circles, workshops, and peer-led discussions that foster creativity, strengthen storytelling skills, and build a supportive community of young writers. Each chapter works toward publishing an original collaborative book by the end of the year, amplifying the voices, stories, and experiences of young women across their school community.
